We cut fabrics and leathers frequently at Make Mode. In order to confirm whether laser cutting will work for your project, we must confirm 3 things.

1: Appropriate Material

There are some fabrics that we are unable to cut because of fumes that may be released during cutting or that may be harmful to our machine. View appropriate materials (material size and capabilities)

2. Sheet Size

The maximum size sheet we can cut from is 18”x32”. Although most all fabrics come in rolls that are larger than this, we would need the fabric to be provided in sheets that are 18”x32” or smaller.

3. Completed Sample

While laser cutting fabrics and leathers can produce great results, their reaction to the laser cutting process may be unpredictable. For this reason, we will ask that you provide a sample 12”x12” swatch of material before hand so we can test and optimize settings.
